The Project

The design brief for this app was to create an innovative and user-friendly interface that uses AI and image recognition to predict how users would look after a hair transplant. Our team conducted extensive research into the hair transplant industry and user needs before creating two sets of wireframes and mood boards to guide the visual direction.

After selecting a design concept, we moved forward with prototyping and created a style guide for consistency. Despite challenges, such as incorporating complex AI features into the app while maintaining a simple interface, our team delivered an effective and stunning app that exceeded the client's expectations.

The app collects valuable data for machine learning, provides audience segmentation for ads, and hot leads for affiliate marketing.

Grafter

Grafter uses advanced computer vision technology to predict the way your hair will look like after an FUE hair transplant surgery.

The editor is easy to use and allows the user to customize the end result of the procedure.

Various Screens

Uploader

The uploading process is short, simple, and comprised of 3 steps.
The user uploads a photo of the "front", adjusts it, and decides whether to move to the next steps and take photos of the "side" and "top".

In terms of the back end: the app uses computer learning, therefore photos are stored in a server, and processed to further enhance the accuracy of the hair visualization.

Video

A new feature that is going to be added to the Grafter app, is a live video base editor.
After uploading a photo of the back and top of their heads, in order to assess the number of available and needed hair grafts, users could start a video and use the editor while being recorded.
This works similarly to a social media video-based filter, allows users to examine different angles, and is much more engaging than still images.

Editor

Hair transplant clinics and doctors can implement a branded version of Grafter on their website/app or as a valuable tool to enhance their patients' customer service.
